TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
With its history dating back to 1791, the Wilmot United Church has since been serving the community of Fredericton. Named after a noted judge and the first native-born Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick - Lemuel Wilmot, the church that we see today was built in 1851. Among the notable features of this mammoth church is the large auditorium that has a capacity to host close to 800 people and the towering 199-feet (61-meter) high spire which is topped by a wooden hand with a finger pointing upwards.
