Among the ten biggest cities in Sweden, Norrköping lies about 28 miles (45 kilometers) Northeast of Linköping and about 100 miles (160 kilometers) Southwest of Stockholm. A part of the Östergötland County, it lies at the edge of Motala ström, and quite close to the Bråviken Bay - a location that helped it achieve a great pace in industrialization. The city, often called the Manchester of Sweden, dates back to somewhere around 11th Century. Thanks to the many attractions that call it home (such as Drottninggatan, Work Museum, Norrköping Science Park, Norrköping Stadtmuseum and Färgargården Open-Air Museum, to name a few) and pleasant climate, Norrköping makes for an interesting visit and great stay.
