Built for the 1986 FIFA World Cup, the Estadio Corregidora is an attraction in itself owing to its beautiful architecture. Considered to be one of the larger football stadiums in Mexico, it has hosted epic battles during the world cup, and subsequently served as a venue for many international games as well as that of the home team - Querétaro FC. Despite its age, the infrastructure facilities of the stadium are constantly upgraded, which makes it on par with the best stadiums in the world. Some of the facilities include advanced floodlights, latest irrigation equipment, well-equipped dressing rooms for players and comfortable seats of more than 40,000 spectators. Apart from football games, the stadium also hosts concerts by famous international stars.
