MUSEUMS & GALLERIES, ENTERTAINMENT VENUES, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Housed in a futuristic, environment-friendly building, Umwelt Arena is an exhibition and event space that promotes sustainability. Throughout the year, it hosts 45 exhibitions which address questions on renewable energy, sustainability, and nature. They also showcase how technology can help us protect our environment. Visitors to the exhibitions can learn how energy is generated from wind, sunlight or biomass, how trash can be recycled, how to save resources and much more. Children will particularly enjoy the Energy Slide which shows them in a fun manner how electricity is generated. Another striking feature of the environmental arena is its roof integrated with a photovoltaic system that produces sufficient energy for the building to function. The arena can also be hired for different trade shows, conventions, and private events.
