Münzhof

The historic Münzhof was originally built in 1621 and then rebuilt in 1675 after it as destroyed during the 30 Years War. In 1733, it was struck down once more by lightning after which it was replaced by a barn. Until 1988, the Münzhof was variously used as a building yard, community house and a stable. Today, the Münzhof has come to be one of Langenargen's most beloved cultural venues. As you step through the doors, you are first greeted by the warm embrace of the public library and a reading lounge where you can browse through the Münzhof's collection before settling down for a leisurely afternoon of reading. The hall beyond is a popular venue for concerts, cabaret, theater and parties. The Münzhof is available for private hire as well and is a great choice for family celebrations, wedding receptions and meetings.
