Constructed in 1494, The Square Tower was originally built as the governor's residence. It was acquired by the Portsmouth City Council in the mid-20th Century and is now a major event venue. Visitors can attend theater acts, fairs, art exhibitions and special seasonal programs. It is also used for film shooting, corporate seminars and private events like weddings receptions and christenings. Visit the Square Tower when markets are held and shop for amazing local goodies!
