Bergen Place Park is located in the heart of downtown Ballard. It is a dedication from the Norwegian royalty, and is named after Seattle’s sister city in Norway. It is a great recreation spot replete with greenery and benches. Redesigned in 2004, it houses several murals and art installations, and also hosts myriad cultural and community events. The thought-provoking artwork of Jenn Lee Dixon called "Witness Trees" is the highlight of this park.
