Fruchtkasten is an outbuilding within the Maulbronn Monastery Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built in the early 1200s and reconstructed in 1580. It is a magnificent structure designed in the Late Gothic style of architecture and has high ceilings, lancet windows and Medieval furniture. Historically, the nuns and monks used it for storing grains and wine in large vats. Today, it houses the Stadthalle (city hall) and serves as a venue for cultural events like concerts and festivals.
