Stadtkirche St. Marien

Nestled in the Torgau region, Stadtkirche St. Marien is a charming church believed to be constructed in the early 13th Century. The church impresses its visitors with its Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and neo-Gothic architectural elements. While the facade of the church is mainly neo-Gothic, its interiors are adorned with art and artifacts from over centuries, the most notable among them are the beautiful altar piece from 16th Century and pulpit from 17th Century, designed by the well-known artist Giovanni Simonetti.
