The Chiesa dei Morti, or the Church of the Dead, is located in the medieval town of Urbania. Take a tour of the small church tucked away behind Baroque doors to discover the reason behind its name. Displayed at the back of the altar, in the chapel, are 18 naturally-mummified corpses from the local community. Learn about their history and cause of death with the oldest mummy dating back to 1833.
