Naturhistorisches Museum (Natural History Museum) in Bern was founded in 1832. Well known for its life-sized wildlife dioramas of mammals and birds, the museum has over 200 sets of these taxidermied animals. It also has a vast collection of animal skeletons and bones along with minerals from the Alpine region and meteorites. One of the exhibits is "Barry" a Saint Bernard dog who died in 1814 and is a crowd puller. Located in Kirchenfeld, it has various activities for children as well.
