The Roosevelt Park zoo occupies tremendous significance in the Minot vicinity of North Dakota. The zoo site was opened to the general public in 1920 and constitutes a mammoth 19 acre (7.7 hectares) land cover. It is a fine home to nearly 200 distinct animals. The American Bison was a distinguished feature of the very first animal exhibition.
