Piedras Blancas Light Station is a monumental lighthouse that is situated about 5.5 miles (8.9 kilometers) west to the northwest of San Simeon, California. The lighthouse site was erected in 1875 and has been guiding ships safely to shore the shore ever since. A California Coastal National Monument, it towers above the landscape at a mammoth height of 70 feet (21 meters). The ivory-hued lighthouse can be visited on a guided tour. Marvel at the history of this ancient structure and admire the breathtaking views from the top.
