The James F. Atchison Memorial Park, located near the Municipal Center, is a popular city park in the New Hudson community. Open everyday from dawn to dusk, it is frequented by the old and young alike. October of 2011 saw another feather in this park's hat when a Landfill Sculpture Park was initiated here. The first sculpture to be installed was the Mephisto, designed by John Sauve which inspires many photographers. Sauve would be working on other artworks that will adorn the place soon enough.
