Located in the heart of Britannia Beach, close to the coast, this mine functioned for approximately 70 years, and was the primary source of copper ore. In the early decades of the 20th Century it even boasted of being one of the largest mines, setting trends for novel mining operations. In 1987, it was declared a national historic site. Britannia Mine Museum offers guests trip into the depths, giving them greater knowledge on the stories that occurred beneath the surface.
