Not far from the city center of Kaiserslautern lies Irish House, a lively gastropub buzzing with beer guzzlers and tourists throughout the year. Apart from the standard on-tap brews and whiskeys one would find at a typical Irish bar, this Kaiserslautern pub also offers an eclectic program of live-in gigs over the weekends. Fridays and Saturdays are reserved for some memorable pop, rock, hip-hop and soul music renditions by emerging as well as known bands. In the past, Irish House has played host to an enthralling show by Guru Guru, a noted Krautrock troupe. When the sun shines bright, the sprawling beer garden is thrown open to guests, with the TV screen broadcasting live sports action and some soothing music filling the warm summer air.
