St. Ignatius Catholic School was founded in 1952 and is among the 19 elementary schools affiliated with the Archdiocese of Mobile. Its preschool program is run by the St. Ignatius Church parish. This coed educational institution has various extra curricular activities and focuses on the overall growth of the child which includes spiritual, physical, intellectual, social and emotional aspects.
