Tri-County Fairgrounds is named after its namesake fair in Petersburg. The fair started in 1920 and has become a popular yearly event. The grounds transform into a lively market with exhibits of livestock, artworks, horticulture and home decor. It is primarily used for this annual festivity. It also includes live entertainment, beauty pageants, animal shows and food counters. This huge open space is maintained by the Tri-County Fair committee.
