Situated in a listed heritage structure, the Bankfield Museum was opened in 1887 and exhibits various collections. The museum is very diverse in scope housing a regimental museum, a textile collection, local history artifacts like costumes, toys, jewelry etc and general history items ranging from Ancient Egypt to the 21st Century. The museum's interiors are as grand as its collections with a grand marble staircase, a classical marble fireplace, a billiard room, a marble gallery and a library. The charming ceiling designs and various mosaics around the house are also a wonder. The museum hosts a series of art exhibitions and workshops to interact with the visitor's.
