Mitte

Mitte is the heart of Berlin, be it culturally, commercially or politically. It is also the first of all the boroughs in the state after the reunification. It is dotted with landmarks, government institutions, architectural gems, museums and more. Some of the interesting sites to visit are Unter den Linden, Museumsinsel, Brandenburger Tor, Historisches Museum (Zeuhaus), Berliner Dom, Marienkirche, Nikolaikirche and Reichstag. A day won't be enough to cover this historical neighborhood but whatever the amount of time spent, it would be a memorable one.
