Established as a town in 1827, Bremerhaven is the biggest German city on the North Sea Coast. It is located at the merging point of the River Weser and the North Sea. It is also a vital port in the nation and is among the largest center for automobile import and export in Europe. The Havenwelten is the tourist hub as it features many attractions. Some of the interesting sites are the German Emigration Center, Klimahaus Bremerhaven 8° East, Historical Museum Bremerhaven, National German Maritime Museum, Zoo am Meer Bremerhaven, Museum Harbor with Open Air Museum and Simon Loschen Lighthouse.
