Schloss Weißenstein is a historic country residence, built between the years 1711 and 1718. The edifice is constructed using locally quaried sandstone materials. Schloss Weißenstein remains an excellent example of breathtaking Franconian Baroque style of architecture. This magnificent palace is home to Germany's biggest art collection featuring Baroque style. This collection features more than 600 pictures. Several Renaissance and Baroque artists like Titian, Albrecht Durer, Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony van Dyck and Rembrandt have their works displayed at Schloss Weißenstein. Since the year 1958, this palace also hosts the Collegium Musicum. At this fest, several budding musicians from different parts of the world assemble and present their concerts in the palace's noted marble hall.
