Formerly called Altbreisach, Breisach is located about 20 kilometers (12.42 miles) from Freiburg. The quiet little town is said to have been formed by early Roman settlers, founded by the Swabian Dynasty. Historically and culturally rich, the town is home to important historic attractions such as St Stephansmünster, the Romanesque place of worship. Situated along the Rhine river, Breisach is blessed with several scenic views.
