Nestled between the Sihfeld and Langestrasse areas of Kreis 4, Helvetiaplatz forms one of the busiest public squares of Zurich. Some even consider this place to the epicenter of the city's cultural activities - internationally acclaimed festivals Langstrassenfest and Caliente are held here. One of the most cosmopolitan neighborhoods of the city, Helvetiaplatz houses many important businesses, eateries, bars, boutiques and shops. It is here that a popular local produce market gathers, where you can shop for local as well as more exotic fruits and veggies. Helvetiaplatz is also home to important social and cultural institutions like Xenix and Kanzlei, on Kanzleistrasse and Volkshaus on Stauffacherstrasse.
