The lush green stretch of the Aargau Jura Park is tucked between the Rivers Aare and Rhine. It covers an area of 244 square kilometers (94 square miles). Within its stretch it covers the Aargau Jura mountains and valleys therein. The park comprises of pine trees, fruit orchids, vineyards and mountain stretches. In 2012, it was registered as a park of national importance by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).
