The perfectly well preserved ruins of the Hardenburg castle are a major historical monument of Germany. This once glorious castle has a number of ruin structures near the edge of the Palatinate Forest. Touted as one of the mightiest castle ever built in Germany, this ruined and dilapidated structure was established in the 13th Century and was ruined in the 18th Century. Since then, it has attracted major crowd interested in culture and history of the region.
