ENTERTAINMENT VENUES, TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING
Devonshire Green is a public open space and park located in the heart of Sheffield. Spread over 1.5 hectares (3.7 acres), it was a unused open space and car park after being heavily damaged by bombs during World War II. In 1981, it was opened as a park and underwent further refurbishments to convert it into an events venue with an open amphitheater. Today it hosts a number of events, activities and markets with the most notable being the Sheffield City Music Festival and the memo Market among other live music performances. The grounds have planting beds, mature trees, sculptured walls and green terraced seating areas. A concrete skate park can also be found at park.
