Hessenpark is a unique open-air museum situated in the very heart of the town of Neu Anspach in Germany. Its exhibits are Hessian timber-framed buildings which provide a deeper insight into the culture, occupation and way of life of the people belonging to the cultural region of Hesse. The museum was established in the year 1974, and at present, is owned and managed by the government. The entire museum stretches over an area of 60.7 hectares (150 acres), and comprises of several buildings and establishments. Family excursions are frequently organized here, which is why this place is a popular haunt for the locals. This site is definitely an absolute must-visit!
