Plaza del Emperador Carlos V is an important landmark in Madrid. Though the square is named after Charles V - Holy Roman Emperor, it is popularly called as Plaza de Atocha. This rectangular square is flanked by historical buildings of Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Ministry of Agriculture Building, and a 19th-century statue of the politician Claudio Moyano.
