A simple yet scenic, unique Victorian sea side settlement in Kent, Westgate-on-Sea is known for its beautiful shores and relaxing pace of life. It boasts of excellent hotels, quaint B&B's and comfortable guest houses in the town and the nearby vicinity and once here visitors will get transported to a completely different era. In order to promote and develop this town, the Westgate on Sea Heritage Centre was set up in 2007; and its aim is to tell the story of Westgate on Sea, from 1865, the year when the first houses were built to the present day.
