Sandy Hook Lighthouse is the oldest working lighthouse in the U.S. and has been functioning since 1764. Designed by Isaac Conro, the Lighthouse was originally constructed to help ships enter New York Harbor. This lighthouse rises to an impressive height of 103 feet (31 meters) and also features an octagonal shape. This attraction is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. This is a wonderful spot to soak in both scenery and history. Free tours are organized here daily.
