Enlisted as a monument historique i.e., a national heritage of France since 1913 by the French Ministry of Culture, the Château des Ducs de Joyeuse is a castle in the commune of Couiza in the Aude department of France. Built in the mid-16th Century for the Dukes of Joyeuse, the castle has now been converted into a hotel. The hotel proffers excellent accommodation facilities in their well furnished rooms. The hotel's in-house restaurant is known for serving delectable French fare. The well-maintained monument flanked by round towers is a typical feature noticeable in many building in the Languedoc and Cévennes regions.
