With over 200 kilometers (124.274 miles) of slopes in the Disentis and Sedrun ski area, the village provides suitable conditions for snowboarders to explore the region. One of the main attractions of the village is the oldest Benedictine monastery in Switzerland, dating back to 720. The village lies above the picturesque Rhine valley and it is also the source of the River Rhine, another popular tourist spot.
