The town of Nájera is known for the historic battle of Nájera that was fought in 1367. Legends have it that the town got its name from a piece of land that is today shared by Tricio and the Nájera. Famous attractions in the town include the Convent of St. Helena, the bridge over River Najerilla and the Alcázar.
