2601 East Sunnyside Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT, United States, 84108
This Is The Place Heritage Park is a living history park nestled under the watchful shadows of the extensive Wasatch Range. A stirring window into the antiquity of Utah, this heritage park is a breathing canvas of Utah's long-standing history. Strewn across the park's expanse are replicas of olden buildings which reminisce the history of the state, while interactive activities and insightful Native American exhibits further help to illustrate the glory of ancient Utah. Among the many structures present here are local shops, cabins, halls, adobe homes and a pristine obelisk, which lords over the ethereal expanses of Salt Lake Valley. This white stone pillar, called 'This is the Place monument', is a marker of the foremost Mormon settlers in the Valley. This heritage park is a soulful escape into the life and times of the earliest inhabitants of Utah, and is the very place where history charts out its own, intriguing course.
