Columbia Park is famously known for having been the discovery site of the Kennewick Man, a skeleton of a man from the the prehistoric age. Spread over 400 acres (160 hectares), the park is now more commonly used by locals for recreational activities like picnics, boating etc. The Columbia River flows within, from the banks of which, you can get a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is also a golf course, and disc golf course and a fishing pond among other facilities at the park. Whether you want to take in the fresh summer breeze, soak up the sun rays or simply escape the city, a quick visit to Columbia Park certainly won’t let you down.
