Situated off the James A. Rhodes Appalachian Highway in Albany, Lake Snowden is part of the Margaret Creek Conservancy District. This lake covers an area of 136 acres (55 hectares). Visitors can indulge in a number of recreational activities like horseback riding, boating, fishing and swimming. Campers can spend the night camping in the well-equipped campsites that surround this lake. The annual Pawpaw Festival is held here. Hike along the nature trails and you will find animals and migratory birds like beaver, whitetail deer, rabbit, turkey, goldeneye and canvasback.
