Schloss Reckahn

The Reckahn village is famous for a historic landmark of Schloss Reckahn. Located on the banks of river Plane, the castle was intended to serve as a school, church and castle complex. But after its restoration, the castle was inaugurated as a museum in 2001. The permanent exhibition on display chronicles the famous school reformer Friedrich Eberhard von Rochow family history. The castle also plays host to corporate meetings, business conferences and University of Potsdam's training center. The noteworthy attractions here are the charming castle garden featuring memorials dedicated to reputed teacher Heinrich Julius Brunswick, a castle church and a school museum.
