With its many restaurants, hotels, nightclubs and boutiques, the Base Village is the very heart of this charming ski resort. Located at the foot of the ski slopes of Snowmass Village, most of the hotels offer ski-in/ski-out access, rendering Base Village lodging the most coveted of the lot. A number of cultural events are hosted here, including the annual Snowmass Balloon Festival. The softtball field and town park at the Base Village are where a number of these events take place, besides.
