The cappella and event hall of the I.D.E.S. Society, or the Society of the Divine Holy Spirit, lie on a plot of land along Main Street that was donated to the brotherhood in 1898 by Mr. and Mrs. Manuel P. Dutra. The grounds are still owned and maintained by the society, often hosting events such as the Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weight-Off and the annual Holy Ghost Festival celebrations. The hall is available on hire for private events as well.
