Oak Street

Oak Street is a time-honored avenue in the city's Carrollton. For several decades, Oak Street has been home to some iconic shops, restaurants and nightclubs, with the popular ones being Rue de la Course and Maple Leaf Bar, among several others. Crowded with a number of bustling establishments and located close to the South Carrollton Avenue streetcar route, Oak Street remains equally popular with tourists and residents alike. A number of television series and movies have been shot here, thus earning the nickname 'Hollywood South.' Parades, carnivals and festivals are also organized here throughout the year.
