The buildings here are reconstructions of houses from Medieval Norway. The farm was built in 1994 for the shooting of the film Kristin Lavransdatter, based on Nobel Laureate Sigrid Undset's famous novel of the same name. Now a leisure center, Jørundgard has activities for families and guided tours in several languages. You are also welcome to try the medieval food, but children usually prefer the sour cream porridge to the salty dried meat. Children may also be enthralled by the animals walking around.
