The word "hadra" is an Arabic phrase meant to evoke a trance-like bonding between those who are under it. The massive success of the Hadra Trance Festival since it's inception in 2001 is evident of the kinship evoked from thousands of people seeking one of the most stirring international dance festivals of the year, where trance music reigns the scene. The main event takes place for four days in the Vercors Regional Park near the French Alps, 30 minutes away from Grenoble. An extensive line-up of international and local bands and DJs fill the program, with the purpose of presenting new up-and-coming talent alongside big names. The local support of this festival is what arguably makes it unique. Both the city of Grenoble and the Regional Council of the Rhone-Alps cooperate to make the festival one of the most safe and organized of its kind. Subsequently, Hadra has become an independent company and record label with an agenda to foster young talent and provide a forum for it to be heard. But in the end, it's all about enjoying the sun, the dancing and the natural beauty of the location
