Ingo Pohlmann, a German singer/songwriter, was born in 1972 in Rheda Wiedenbrück. His debut album was a chart success, as was his follow-up, Fliegende Fische (Flying Fish), released in 2007 and a Top 40 seller. His musical style, which he has labeled "root-pop," was influenced by artists such as Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper and Tom Waits.
