The Mission is a gothic rock band from Leeds, England that was initially formed as The Sisterhood. After changing its moniker to The Mission, the band honed its signature alternative hard rock sound and released its debut album, God's Own Medicine, in 1986, followed by string of successful studio albums despite major lineup changes. On the heals of a poorly received studio LP, Blue, in 1996, The Mission disbanded for the first time, only to be reactivated from 1999 to 2008. Following another short period of inactivity, the three core members Criag Adams, Simon Hinkler and original founder Wayne Hussey reunited again in 2011 for The Mission's 25th anniversary.
