Angers SCO (Angers Sporting Club de l'Ouest), is a French football club founded in 1919. In 1969 and 1976, the club won the second division championship. Angers plays its home matches at Stadium Jean Bouin and in 2014, the club celebrated the opening of a new training center in Baumette. Its official colors are black and white, and usually the team is called, "Le SCO", "Les Scoïstes," or " The Sporting." After 21 years in national and Ligue 2, Angers SCO, returned to Ligue 1 for the 2015-2016 season. Notable former Angers players include Paul Alo'o, Raymond Kopa, Claudiu Keserü, Milan Damjanovic, and Ulrich Ramé.
