While the Chilean band's name might be fairly provocative, Fother Muckers creates likeable, unoffensive pop-rock sung in Spanish. Performing its first show at a Beatles convention in Chile, Fother Muckers split the audience, with half of the onlookers appreciating the group's modern take on Beatles-inspired rock, and the other half showing reversion at its rock n' roll stage antics, like smashing guitars. Rooted in 1960s mod pop and tinged with 1970s psych, fused with a modern indie flair, the group has not only succeeded in securing a fan base in its native country, but has also received attention in the US, despite the language barrier.
