French production duo The Shoes slowly began making a name for itself in its home country, the UK and Japan by remixing respected musicians. Once the duo had developed somewhat of a following on the club scene, The Shoes began creating solo work for a debut album to be released in 2011, resulting in a collection of well-produced electropop tracks. The band's music maintains a dark undercurrent, sometimes bordering on insanity, but is also saturated with nu-disco, making it appropriate both for the dance floor and for a brooding solo listen.
