London producer Hypermagic seems to have adopted the chillwave trend a bit late. However, rather than just adding to the slew of hazy reverbed vocals and overuse of analogue production, Hypermagic stands apart. By incorporating several dark elements into his music, such as elastic beats, ambient noise and nods to both dubstep and witch house, Hypermagic almost seems to have intentionally joined the chillwave trend late, as though he's making chillwave for a late hour--or chillwave after dark. While the producer and multi-instrumentalist has only been on the scene since 2010, he immediately became involved with London's respected No Pain in Pop label and continues to garner attention throughout his home country and the US.
