George Sound is an alternative rock and hip-hop outfit from Bordeaux, France. Due to its attempts to meld several different genres and utilize both acoustic and electronic instrumentation, some of the group's members have likened their sound to that of Damon Albarn's adventurous pop project Gorillaz. Jumping from track to track on the band's album, Bouts de Therapie, listeners are bound to hear snippets of downtempo trip-hop, live drum beats, subdued electric guitar, dub-influenced bass lines and an alternating rapping/singing vocal approach that switches back-and-forth between French and English. George Sound seems to want to include a little something for everyone in its music--a tactic that's proven successful thus far throughout alternative pop circuits in France.
